The Government Public Relations Department of Thailand (PRD) and the Voice of Vietnam (VOV) have advanced their cooperation to better meet the needs of audiences in the digital era.

Delegations of the two media organizations attended the 12th VOV - PRD Joint Technical Committee Meeting on 14 August 2026 via videoconference, under the framework of their Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Cooperation in Information and Broadcasting. 

The Thai delegation, led by PRD Deputy Director-General Supaphong Chaolan, comprised Executive Director of Radio Thailand Wanida Gajaseni, Executive Director of PRD Foreign Affairs Office Nutthanun Rajanakorn, and other PRD personnel. The Vietnamese delegation was headed by VOV Vice President Ngo Minh Hien.

Both organizations agreed to further expand cooperation next year in radio broadcasting, exchanges of news and programs, as well as online media content in various forms, both in Thai and English languages.  They would also increase cooperation in digital media and continue to exchange visits by media practitioners.

PRD and VOV agreed to share content on topics of global interest, beyond tourism and culture, such as economic issues, trade, investment, sustainable tourism, environmental conservation, innovation, and artificial intelligence (AI).

Their discussions also included music exchange programs between the PRD band and a local Vietnamese music band, as well as special joint program production on various platforms to commemorate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Thailand and Vietnam in 2026.

In addition, both sides encouraged VOV and PRD agencies, namely Radio Thailand, NBT2HD television station, NBT CONNEXT, and the Foreign Affairs Office, to work closely together in conducting joint activities as agreed upon and following up on them more effectively.

PRD and VOV have a long history of cooperation in media and broadcasting, working to strengthen friendship, mutual understanding, and the exchange of knowledge between both nations.
