15th Thai Silk Celebration Exhibition Open for Public during 9-14 June 2025 at Siam Paragon

The Ministry of Culture has opened the “15th Celebration of Silk: Thai Silk Road to the World” exhibition, showcasing more than 250 Thai silk creations and promoting Thailand’s cultural heritage on the global stage.

‎The opening ceremony was presided over by Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Culture, Ms. Chotika Akkrakitsophakul. The event also included the presentation of certificates for the 7th Next Big Silk Designer Contest 2026, showcasing the creativity of young designers from across the country.

‎Also in attendance were NBT Director Tassaneeyaporn Duangkaew, executives of the Ministry of Culture, the President of the Association for the Promotion of Thai Silk and Culture, representatives from government agencies, the private sector, educational institutions, and students.

‎The exhibition, held at NEXT Hall, Siam Paragon, runs from June 9 to 14 and features 30 selected silk designs, along with student-created costumes prepared for diplomats from 90 countries.

‎Ms. Chotika stated that Thai silk is a valuable cultural asset that can help drive the creative economy, generate income for communities, and strengthen Thailand’s international image, while advancing efforts to nominate “Chut Thai” for UNESCO recognition.
