Thai PM Leads 1st Green Bridge Forum, Pushing Sustainable Economic Growth

Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul presided over the opening ceremony and delivered a keynote address on "Navigating the Green Transition: Thailand's Vision for Sustainable Development and Global Climate Action" at The 1st Green Bridge Forum at the Nongnooch International Convention and Exhibition Centre in Chonburi province, hosted by the State Audit Office of Thailand to exchange best practices on environmental governance and sustainable development with Supreme Audit Institution representatives from various countries.

The Significance of the Green Transition:

• Driving economic transformation for growth alongside environmental stewardship.

• Attracting investments, enhancing competitiveness, and strengthening energy security.

• Implementing key policies on clean energy, modern infrastructure, future industries, responsible resource management, and eco-friendly innovations.

Achieving this transition requires robust governance, cost-effective budget allocation, and verifiable transparency, wherein the State Audit Office plays a vital role in evaluating policy outcomes and building investor confidence. 

Meanwhile, the "Green Bridge" concept serves as a bridge connecting policies, innovations, and global cooperation. As the Chair of the INTOSAI Working Group on Environmental Auditing (INTOSAI WGEA), Thailand reaffirms its readiness to work alongside the global community toward tangible sustainable development.

This milestone event highlights Thailand's proactive role in driving regional environmental accountability and sustainable economic growth.
