The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) participated in WorldPride Amsterdam 2026 from August 3 to 6 to promote Thailand as a destination for LGBTQIAN+ travelers and support Bangkok's bid to host WorldPride 2030. Led by the TAT Paris Office, the campaign included tourism promotion, international networking, and meetings with Pride organizations.
TAT Governor Thapanee Kiatphaibool said LGBTQIAN+ travelers are a high-potential market with strong purchasing power. Thai representatives attended the Road to Bangkok World Pride 2030 event and met with InterPride, Asian Pride, and other organizations to build international support for Bangkok's bid.
Thailand also operated tourism booths at Pride Village in Museumplein and the Beurs van Berlage Conference Center, providing travel information and introducing destinations and experiences to international visitors. TAT also worked with Dutch LGBTQIAN+ publication WINQ Magazine on coverage of Bangkok's preparations for WorldPride 2030.
The TAT Paris Office also promoted the campaign through its social media channels. TAT said its participation is expected to help attract more LGBTQIAN+ travelers, further enhancing Thailand's welcoming tourism environment, and advance Bangkok's bid to host WorldPride 2030.
