Thailand Opens Market for Raw Poultry Meat in the Philippines, Expected to Generate Initial Revenue of 500 Million Baht

A new milestone for Thai agriculture!

After intense negotiations between Thailand’s Ministry of Agriculture and the Philippines in April 2025, the Philippines has officially opened its market to raw chicken and duck meat from Thailand for the first time.

Two pilot factories have been certified: Bangkok Ranch (EST.14) and Panus Poultry (EST.79).

This achievement creates a golden opportunity for Thai farmers, opening export channels for 5,000 tons annually, valued initially at 500 million baht, surpassing previous limits that allowed only cooked chicken exports.

Deputy Government Spokesperson Anukul Pruksanusak announced the next phase strategy:

“We are accelerating certification of more Thai factories to capture 25% of the Philippines’ raw poultry market, worth up to 10 billion baht!”

He also confirmed the Department of Livestock Development is speeding up the issuance of health certificates to support exports.

The Philippines is currently finalizing the public announcement of the agreement, marking a key milestone that underscores the global potential of Thai agriculture—promising substantial and sustainable income for farmers and businesses alike.
