Transforming Waste Latex into Innovative Products Paving the Way for a Sustainable Biorefinery Industry

A team of Thai researchers has made a groundbreaking discovery:

“HeLP,” a valuable biomolecule found in latex serum—a byproduct typically discarded by the rubber industry. This innovation is now driving major revenue opportunities through the world’s first biorefinery process!

A Major Breakthrough

For the first time ever, HeLP has been successfully extracted at an industrial scale thanks to a collaboration between Prince of Songkla University, government agencies, and the private sector.

Lab tests have confirmed HeLP’s remarkable properties: anti-cancer, anti-inflammatory, prebiotic benefits, and relief for gastric ulcers.

The next step is to develop high-value products in the supplement, cosmetics, and cosmeceutical industries.

Latest Developments

✅ Patents secured in Thailand and internationally

✅ Currently undergoing “novel food” registration with the Thai FDA, with approval expected mid-year

🏭 Construction underway for the world’s first GMP-standard biorefinery in southern Thailand

This innovation not only increases the value of Thai rubber but also reduces industrial waste and pollution, providing real support for the country’s BCG (Bio-Circular-Green) economy!
